The integration between Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 SalesPro is now out of the box available. As Business Central and SalesPro do not share the same Data Service (yet), integration is necessary to have the same data in both sources available and synchronized.
But with the new out of the box integration, also solutions are installed to view the statistics of the two appliactions in both applications.
Also setting up the integration is very easy. First start by creating 2 trial environments in the same domain. To do this navigate to https://trials.dynamics.com an use the Sales and Business Central environments to create.
Then open the Business Central environment and select the Assisted Setup menu item
Start the Set up the Common Data Service connector by double clicking, A pop up screen will appear
The Dynamics SalesPro environment found in the same domain would appear automatically. If not then select the correct environment by clicking the button with the 3 dots.
Just leave the Team option unchanged and hit next
This is the first part, you can hit Finish and wait 5 to 10 minutes to allow the setup to be completed.
A checkmark is displayed to show the installation is done successfully.
Now start the Set up Dynamics 365 Sales Connection by doubleclicking. A pop-up will appear:
This screen is used to define the integration user. However in the latest setup this has been automated to prevent from having accidental errors and speed up the installation process.
Hit Finish and the setup will again run for 5 to 10 minutes to finish the installation.
Both installations show green checkmarks indicating that the installation is done successfully.
To verify the connection navigate to the Service Connections and check the status behind the Data Service Connection and the Dynamics 365 Connection. The status must show Connected
Success installing the new Integration.
